Patient Responses to Now You Know! The following are just some of the email responses patients have sent back to their doctors after receiving the "Now You Know" Newsletter. Thank you so much for all of these wonderful, informative e-mails. I sure do enjoy reading them. I know this has to be time consuming on your behalf and is just another very strong example of what makes You the BEST! We love you and appreciate you. M.S. - Georgia I do enjoy the newsletter and I do share it with my daughter and she also passes it on to a couple of her friends as well. It is informative and interesting. Dave - Florida Hi, guys! I was so surprised to get your newsletter this morning. I think it's great. I'm going to forward it to one of my friends who has had back trouble but hasn't gone the chiropractic route yet. Once she comes off her muscle relaxers and her back starts hurting again, perhaps she'll want to pay you a visit. Sonja - Maryland Thanks very much for the very informative newsletter. I hope more and more parents open their eyes to see the ineffectiveness of antibiotics and otitis media and the benefits of chiropractic!!! Wishing everyone a wonderful summer. See you soon, Joey Canada Your newsletter is a great idea. I'm always telling people about you and how much you've helped me in the past, but its so difficult to get people to move from the mindset that only the western approach to medicine is legitimate. Your newsletter will enable me to share good, viable information with them while providing the necessary contact information. Marjorie - Ohio I enjoy very much this newsletter. In fact, I forwarded last month's edition to my coworkers. I am going to send this one, as well, because it contains valuable information. Carrero - Florida I do enjoy the newsletter. One word of confirmation came from the Pediatrician who cared for my children and who is also taking care of Kevin and Rose Ann's children. He says "Cows milk was made to feed calves, not children." We were never encouraged to give our children milk from cows. See you in a week. Jewell - California I absolutely love your newsletters and read EVERY word. I'm sure I'm among many who enjoy it tremendously! It is also very convenient not to have flyers resulting in garbage. Although I do sometimes print it out to carry to work in order to share it with others. Thank you for what I know takes ALOT of time to share this wonderful information. It is nice to have someone else screen through the masses of information and pass on the real meat. WE LOVE YOU, Melody, Mark, Aryn & Addison- Georgia Thanks for the latest info. Have forwarded on to others. - M & D - New Jersey Thank You so much for the email re: Birth Traumas. That has been the hot topic since Yvette gave birth to Joshua. Many of our friends wondered why Yvette gave birth the way that she did,...(at home and with no medication). I will definitely share the email with our friends. Suz - Florida Excellent newsletter. Keep sending them my way. Yes, I do forward to many others. Jane - Wisconsin Just wanted you to know that I enjoyed your letter, that I was informed of things that I did not know, and I emailed this letter to the friends on my email list that I felt would benefit from this information. Please continue to email more newsletters and I will send it on to others. Adena - IndianaHi Dr. Just checked out your web site... good stuff! I forwarded it to some friends/family. I'm glad to be on board! See you Wednesday, Kim - Connecticut I really enjoyed it. I happen to have a nephew that is suffering some behavioral and physical symptoms, some of which, have been linked to a pH imbalance in his system. He is 5 years old. But his autistic type symptoms came to light around the age of 3. I really enjoyed the newsletter. Bert - Florida Yes, I love these letters! Mostly, I print them out, make copies and distribute to many "older" friends who are not in the computer circuit. So far, I am not aware that any of them have taken the letters seriously enough to make an appointment, but the seeds have been planted. God Bless. Julia - North Carolina Thanks very much. I have passed it on to everyone in my address book. Al - Florida Thank you for the newsletter. Very informational and I look forward to it. This month the information regarding birthing I am sending along to a friend who is pregnant. Do you have any further information regarding treatment during pregnancy. This particular pregnant woman is a delivery nurse and contends one should never, never get chiropractic adjustment during pregnancy. She happens to be having back pain and thinks there is no solution. Thanks again! MaryLou - California Thanks for the newsletter. I checked out your web page. AJC California It's a terrific Tuesday at our household! Good morning Doctor & staff. Thank you for taking the time to put together this most informative work. The fact that this letter offers something for everyone is probably it's greatest attribute. I found most interesting the comments regarding cow milk and children under the age of 12 months. How many hundreds of thousands of infants have been affected negatively by this seemingly harmless practice? Great advise about beating the heat. I totally agree that early morning is the most beneficial time to exercise, anytime of year, but especially in summer. Not only is it cooler, but the air quality is at it's best. My last question/comment: When do we get to see Doc being hugged by the mighty Arnold Schwartzenegger? Keep up the great work. You are having a positive effect both physically and mentally on your many patients, and countless others we all come across. Love ya Rhinos!! Gregg - California Thank you for passing on all the interesting information. CLV - Connecticut Thank you for this newsletter. I am a firm believer in Chiropractic method and I recommend often, especially when people ask me "how-do-u-keep-going?" I am looking forward to the next issue . Will their be an issue about the pro's and con's of immunizations? Please, K. - Michigan I really appreciate the newsletter and will forward to my friends. Tony - California Hello! L.W. - Connecticut Thank you so much for sharing this newsletter with me. I appreciate it. I was diagnosed with MS 6 years ago...I am symptom free and I do not take pills. Perhaps I can be of encouragement to others who have been diagnosed with MS...I am very sad that the Dr.s in this world deal with problems with a pill and idea of prevention is so foreign to them. Thanks for your time, Robin - California Hi, I enjoyed reading your newsletter, especially the part that Arnold is playing in promoting Chiropractic. I'll try to stop by Wednesday evening, but we're getting busy so I'll be late. And we'll be having our newborn adjusted as she seems to be suffering from some minor colic. See you soon. All the best, AL - New York Just a quick comment and thank you for a wonderful newsletter. As a Lactation Consultant working in an OB Clinic, I see moms everyday who tell me, they've heard that breastfeeding is best, but they don't have any idea what that means, and so prefer to bottle-feed. In one newsletter you have touched on three of MANY reasons breastfeeding is not just "best," but in reality demonstrates that artificial baby milk is inferior. You talked about ear infections. Fact: U.S. babies (not just babies in the third world) who are breastfed for at least 4 months have TWO to THREE times less otitis media as babies who are fed artificial baby milk (formula). (Ref: Duncan, Pediatrics 1993) You mentioned osteoporosis. According to Epidemiol Rev and American Journal of Obstet & Gynecol mom's bone density increases with each child who is breastfed. Colic -- well of course breastfed babies have less colic. They're getting food that was made (created) especially for them! When we do things the way they were meant to be done -- avoid medicines, avoid artificial baby milks and stay away from tobacco, things tend to turn out the way they were meant to be. Not best. Chiropractic and breastfeeding should be considered Normal. Mary - New Jersey Thanks for the newsletter - most informative, I shall pass it on. Susan Canada Thanks for the info! Very informative and interesting. I appreciate you thinking of me and keeping me informed about my health! See you this week! Look forward to it! love, ER - VirginiaThese are just a few of the thousands of responses the doctors get from their patients after receiving the Now You Know newsletter. Would you like your patients to say these things about your Newsletter and Website? With Now You Know, They Will! Subscribe Today !!! One Special Letter! Guys, It has been a very busy summer. Hopefully, in line with our annual trek to the MDs for the battle over the shots, we will soon make our Back to School visit to you. I have to tell you that once again your timing was born on angels wings. I am taking Cavan in for his two year weigh-in tomorrow. I always dread these confrontations and pray that I will maintain the strength to handle this issue with the utmost integrity, knowing that I am a loving, educated parent being faced with underlying accusations of child abuse for not compromising the good health of my children. Last month, Caroline went in for her two month weigh-in and I had a new MD come down hard on me for not having her immunized. Ironically, if she had gone in just one day earlier, she would have received the two shots they have now taken off the list for severe, adverse, even deadly reactions. Those are, of course, rotavirus and hepatitis B. The MD angrily said to me that they actually had a patient in the practice with pertussis. Math is not one of my strengths, but I can figure out that they have hundreds of patients and if only one had pertussis lined up against the number of patients that had any type of adverse reactions to this we are on the right side of the fence. The last record I have seen of fatality from whooping cough is 8 out of 4,000 reported cases in 1994. I have heard the percentages of those contracting the diseases are even 50 to 60% immunized. GO FIGURE! Again my math is not too good but I'd still say that the numbers are in our favor. The point of this correspondence is to thank you, once again, for giving me an answer to a prayerful plea for strength. After receiving you newsletter today (Aug 16, 1999), I have spent the last few hours pulling up information on the Internet and gaining momentum in my mental fortitude to try and establish an adult, communicative relationship with my MD like the one that I have with you. I have found several good websites and am at this moment, too tired to forge further on into the mountains of potential information available to those of us who care enough about our children to educate ourselves BEFORE going blindly into a governmental, bureaucratic, politically imposed and potentially dangerous set of circumstances. After all, does the government really care more about my children than I do? I think not! Thanks for the info, thanks for listening and a special thanks for once again being at the right place at the right time in our lives. Eric, Connolly, Cavan and Caroline send their love to all, as do I. Give the "potty fish" a kiss from Cavan. God Bless You, Carol - Georgia You can make a difference!
